Damien and the others arrived back at the Guild. Their trip had been uneventful, but that suited Damien down to the ground. There had been too much action lately and he would be happy to return to his Tower shortly.

Turning to the others, he looked at them all. "I guess we meet up tomorrow then to find out what this "Wild Hunt" is all about then?"

"Sounds fine to me," Kyia rubbed her aching horns with a drowsy look. With a sigh she tapped her hip to get Tie's attention and walked off toward the Red Tower. She yawned and waved a hand in the air to the group as she walked away.

Tie followed her limping a bit. Of all the trouble he has gotten in with Kyia this would top them all and them some. He started thinking of his home and how his life would have been if he decided to stay there instead of going with the Half Dragon girl he befriended all those years ago. Those thoughts did not last long because he would not have given up the time spent with Kyia for anything, even if it meant getting thrown around by a werewolf.

Kyia put her hand on Tie's head and scratched his ear. "Thanks for the help before Tie, once again you saved my life," She smiled at him.

Tie licked her hand and nodded. "You're welcome Kyia," He brushed his head against Kyia's side and smiled back up at her.

They arrived at Kyia's room, instantly Tie jumped on the foot of bed and fell asleep. Kyia took her time getting undressed into a short sleeping dress. She thought about going to bed right now but she could feel some blood drying into her hair and the crusty feeling would feel nasty in the morning.

So Kyia went into her bathroom and jumped into the shower carefully rubbing her horns as she watched the water with a tint of red go down the drain. The steam quickly fogged up the bathroom and limited her vision. One bad thing about being a Half Dragon was she liked hot water, almost boiling water when she showered and the steam could get annoying. Her tail twitched and her wings gently arched above her. Kyia gently rubbed her bruises then washed her face.

Kyia shut the shower off and stepped out of the shower and grabbed the towel she set on the sink. After drying her body off she slipped her dress on and walked out to her bed. Kyia flapped her wings drying them off and jumped into bed. Tie woke up and looked at Kyia.

"Sorry for waking you, Tie," She smiled.

"It's okay," Tie said and climbed up the bed and rest his head on Kyia's arm.

She smiled and turned on her right side and wrapped her other arm around Tie's furry neck. "Good night Tie," She smiled.

"Good night Kyia," He said arching his left wing over Kyia.

Desmond's walk back to the Grey Tower was quick; he walked absently, hardly paying attention to anything as he climbed the spiral staircase to his room. Soon he was in bed, falling asleep without even trying.

It may have been thought that after such ordeals his dreams would be full of nightmares, particularly as his magical style allowed him the manipulation of dreams in the later years of study, but he slept a dreamless sleep. Exhausting had taken over his body and Desmond had fallen unconscious in the comfort of his room.

Before long, it was morning, but this passed without him waking. Afternoon came and went. Finally as people were just preparing for their evenings, Desmond finally awoke. He felt dazed and confused but got dressed and walked outside into the courtyard.

Memories floated back to him and he realised he would have to visit the library, but first he would need some help. He only hoped someone was about that could assist him.

"You can't sleep forever Kyia wake up," Tie stuck his wet nose on her cheek.

Kyia opened her eyes and moaned. She turned over and pulled the blanket over her head. "Ten more minutes," She yawned and closed her yes.

"The sun is setting Kyia-Lynn, you might want to stay awake tonight so you can sleep tomorrow night," Tie explained.

"Uhg."

"Hmpt!" Tie took the blanket in his mouth and tugged it off of Kyia and threw it off the bed. "Get up you lazy mutt," He said.

"You're one to talk," She grumbled.

"Remember we need to go to the library?" Tie asked.

"Yeah yeah," Kyia sighed and got up. She got dressed quickly and flapped her wings a few times. She glanced at the mirror and frowned. "Gesh my hair!" Kyia shook her head and grabbed a brush. She brushed her hair careful not to hit her horns.

Kyia's horns were still throbbing from last night, they didn't need to be hit by anything. "Okay fine... let's go," She said as she grabbed her crimson scarf and wrapped it around her neck, dropping one side of it down her back between her wings. Since her back has to be uncovered for her wings it gets cold there often.

"Finally," Tie said walking to the door. They walked on to the large yard between the Towers before long and headed toward the Library.

Desmond saw Kyia walking across the courtyard. "Hey," he waved towards her. He spotted Tie beside her and felt slightly cautious; the animal still freaked him out a little. "Are you heading to the library?"

He remembered the promise he had made. They needed information on the Wild Hunt, whatever that was.

Kyia nodded "Yes we are, this fur ball forced me out of bed. Other wise i would still be there," She sighed deeply and tossed a glance at Tie.

"Oh hush, we need to go, and we can't have you sleeping all day and night."

"Yeah i guess," Kyia frowned. "Well let's go together than shall we?" She asked.

"We shall," Desmond smiled. "I know how you feel I am absolutely exhausted too. It seems fighting vampires is harder than it looks."

It was a weak joke but it was all he could manage. They reached the library and opening the doors saw the vast number of rows of books. "This could take a while," he muttered. "I guess we should start the search..."

He headed towards one of the rows and began to walk looking at all the books as he went.

The search had been long and Desmond now found himself in an area of the library he had never been, in fact he hadn't even known this section existed. The books here were old and would most likely have been covered in cobwebs and dust if it wasn't for the library staff. It certainly looked like these books hadn't been moved in a while.

Every so often he would find a book that looked potential, but flicking through found no information. Des reached the end of one of the aisles, bending down to see the bottom shelf, he spotted one particularly old book. Reaching down, he pulled it out and couldn't believe the title. The Wild Hunt.

Quickly opening the book, he flicked through. Immediately on the first page there was a picture. It showed a poor looking man, looking scared, with his hands up as if defending himself. Behind him, and almost hidden entirely by cleverly placed shadows was another man, or what appeared to be man. Extending over the top of this scene, and in the distance was a hill, where at the crest a large wolf-type creature appearing to be howling towards the sky.

The text was faded, but Desmond knew without a doubt that he had found what they were looking for. "Kyia, I've found it," he shouted, then realised they were in a library. Staff members quickly moved to glare at him, where he gave a small apology.

"Come on," he whispered. "We need to get this to Savannah now."
